The Waiting Place is a series of autobiographical essays all centered around the theme of waiting. We all experience waiting in myriad ways from the inconsequential (like a line at the bank) to the life-altering (such as waiting for a child to be born.)/5().

The Waiting Place explores pauses, the place between The waiting place book we want and what is currently happening. Far from an over-generalized, cliched self-help book, The Waiting Place contains detailed "real life" stories from Button's life, a collection of essays that are connected by the theme of waiting.

These stories are often really funny and suspenseful/5. The Waiting Place is a subtle blend of sly, disarming humour, heartbreak, and poignancy. In its farming world populated by animals, every moment is human.

That's the secret and triumph of this book. --Terry Jordan, author of It's a Hard Cow and Beneath That Starry Place more/5. He used the pseudonym “Seuss” – his middle name – because he was waiting until he possessed the talent and experience necessary to write, as he put it, the next great American novel never materialized, and instead Geisel spent his life writing some of the most popular and significant children.

The Waiting people just waiting. Waiting for a train to go or a bus to come, or a plane to go the places you'll go. There is fun to be done. There are points to be scored. There are games to be won.
